I did not attend the caucuses on Tuesday night because I had to work. Thanks
for all the updates from the people who attended the caucuses.
The thing that drives so many people away from the DFL is all the infighting
within the party. Right now the DFL has three excellent candidates going for
endorsement of Mayor of St. Paul, with three very different perspectives and
ways to do business, and all some DFLers can do is talk trash about some of the
candidates and the people who support them.
Yes I'm a DFLer. And yes I will always vote and support DFL candidates. But I
have no idea if I will ever get as politically involved as I used to be because
frankly, I agree with Cristy. The DFL is dying until party regulars learn how
to quit badmouthing their own candidates and volunteers. I would rather be
involved in endeavors where my efforts are appreciated and that are a lot less
stressful.
People should be commended for being involved in the political process. Not
ridiculed and scorned. Until DFLers learn that they are losers.
