It is always good to find out legislators' positions at any time in the
process.
But for unrelated reasons I happen to have been at the two Conference Committee
meetings held thus far and the Airport Dike has not yet come up for discussion.
The airport dike funding did not pass in the House bonding bill. It was
included in the Senate bill and therefore is among the many differences that
still have to be worked out in Conference Committee.
There certainly are many mysteries about conference committees (try finding out
in advance of about an hour when they will meet!) but this doesn't yet appear
to be one - unless there are some behind-closed-doors discussions going on that
someone else could shed more light upon.
