Jerich has a long and colorful history with EXTREMELY strong ties to Mike Hatch. He and his wife are both tobacco lobbists. A couple of years ago they lobbied for the Anoka School system. On at least one occasion they made an appointment to talk about Anoks Schools and at the end morphed the conversation to advocate for a tobacco industry position. It was that little stunt that led several legislators to put up door signs that said they would not meet with any lobbist who worked tobacco, regardless of any white hat issues they supported.
