The latest update from Senate offices is that all four St Paul Senators are
FIRMLY opposed to the floodwall, and have been tearing their hair out trying to
block it.

IMHO, it's time to stop calling them and change our focus. They've been
inundated with calls (way to be effective everyone!!), but we're preaching to
the choir.

Best suggestion to help now would be just calling Senator Langseth
(651-296-3205), Chair of the Capital Investments Committee. The bill is being
conferenced, but the senators are still working on getting the floodwall
removed.

Also, while I can't imagine he'll change his mind, we should all call Mayor
Kelly's office (651-266-8510) and voice not only our disapproval of the
project, but our disgust at his bullying tactics. The threats, by the way,
came directly from him, not through his NWA lobbyist.
