Actually John, I can't speak to how the DFL party is or isn't changing; I work
for candidates I believe in, which lately has been all DFLers, but I don't get
too involved in the party mechanics. I'd like to hope it will get more
progressive though!!

But Chris himself is going around now claiming to be progressive; my point was
simply that his record in no way backs up that claim.

I think Jeanne has touched on something here. To me that is saying he is DFL
but not DFL enough.

Maybe it is the DFL party in St. Paul that has changed to be progressive and
most of your traditional DFLers are just not ready to move that far left of
center? Might be why DFL/progressive activists paint the mayor and Coleman as
republican when they are really just more like a moderate.

I am not trying to speak for anyone and certainly not in touch with the DFL
party in st paul, or the republican party for that matter. It could be a
possible explanation as to why the endorsement hasn't been helpful.
