Fortunately there's a rising groundswell on both the left and right about the Treasury proposal along the lines of: "They want to do WHAT??? Are they fucking CRAZY???" We'll see if it's enough to keep them from rolling over. Obama, at least, is calling for some meaningful regulatory and oversight language in the thing at the very least. What I fear is that we'll see a bill that bails out Wall Street and foreclosed homeowners and leaves the rest of us holding the bag.
