My point is this:
If the Republican choice for VP made such a statement in public, I'm
going to assume it represents their platform in part. Her statement is
convoluted, broken, riddled with back peddling, tap dancing and flim
flam.

You know what flim flam is? According to 
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/flimflam:
"noun --flimflam - a swindle in which you cheat at gambling or
persuade a person to buy worthless property"

I just wish they could summon the courage and intelligence to speak
intelligently and courageously. Clarity is helpful too. That would be
so much more helpful than political clichés and public posturing,
confident façades and pointless bluster.

You know what bluster is? According to whatever dictionary Apple uses:
"bluster --verb --talk in a loud, aggressive, or indignant way with
little effect"

Maybe I missed the point of your discussion with Brian. As an artist,
I do have a tendency to look at something rather than read it. Sorry
if I went off on a weird tangent.
