-- I'm amazed that people continue to be convinced that giving money to million/billionaires in the form of tax breaks and welfare is going to benefit the middle or lower classes in some way. Even though the class divide has continually widened since the introduction of Reaganomics, people keep buying into it. Business: "Look, we're rich and successful, so we're clearly smarter than you. Give us your money, and we'll make sure you benefit." Middle Class: "Sure, that sounds smart." How do they do it? What kind of mind control ray do they have that makes this possible? Restructure those loans and use that 700 billion to create jobs in infrastructure projects to improve your country in tangible ways while providing income in low-skill jobs that could be used to pay down a mortgage. It's not hard to think up ways to spend money that directly benefit the middle and lower classes, it just never seems to be on the agenda. I wonder if that has something to do with the fact that the government consists solely of the upper class? When is someone going to notice that the government is working for the highest bidder, not the people that elect them? -- Michael --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
