Not really...this is a complex issue. For instance, Obama's popularity alone will provide a 'coattails' effect downticket, absent giving any money to the district races, they'll get a net benefit from the money he's spending nationally. Also, I'm not sure, but I think that campaign finance rules prevent them from just giving the money away downstream. And I do mean NATIONALLY...Obama's making significant TV buys here in Arizona. Since we only have 10EV, and have been very red in the past, PLUS it's McCain's home state, Presidential races pretty much ignored Arizona. However, the D's are looking to take one or two more seats here (Renzi AZ01, and Shadegg AZ03), so So for Obama's team to be spending money here is pretty significant. Or maybe it's just a sign they have more than they can spend in OH, FL and PA.... -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "StrataList-OT" group.
