An acquaintance of mine just opened a medical marijuana shop in Anchor Bay. We
got a full tour of the facility before it opened. (We wouldn't have been able
to do that after the opening because none of us had those weed prescription
cards you get from a doctor that are necessary to enter the establishment.)
Nice display case with different varieties and a microscope connected to an
iMac for viewing buds close up and personal. Seems some folks don't like mold
or bugs and such in their medicine.

Pretty impressive security, too. No names on the computer for either suppliers
or patients. Numbers only, which the local sheriff recommended since the DEA
routinely raids medical marijuana parlors to shut them down for a few days,
seize their computers and snoop into their operations.

That presumes the price of weed won't change once it's legalized. That wasn't
the case with liquor with prohibition. Geez, aren't you keeping up with "Empire
Boardwalk"?
