i can guess the sources of revenue ...  especially after reading Bruce's
link ...   it is the voluntary voting that makes it easier i guess

interestingly in the 70's he put that power behind the Labour Party (center
left) which was elected in 1972 [ first change in government
from conservative (center right) since 1949  ... but he retracted that
support in 1975 and the Governor General dismissed the sitting government
nov 11 1975 ..  it is our so where were you when moment  ...  we don't
assassinate as the government is at Her Majesties  pleasure
[theoretically] and
she can sack them as she likes through her representative  .. though i doubt
 anyone would try that again

personally that is more scary than anything I have heard so far ....
