Dang, I'm big fans of those shows, too. The best new show with the worst promo is Fox's "Terriers" starring Donal Logue. Great writing and acting. Not your typical "former cop turned PI" show, either. The season finale is next Wednesday, but surely Season 1 will be released on DVD.
