This is why I don't even BOTHER with Cox tech support except to ask "Do we have a service outage in my area?" If the answer is yes, I just wait, if it's no, the stupid cable modem died. Again. (I'm on my fourth one. Lightning sucks) A major part of their business is doing things like running DNS servers...I don't know how they could screw it up so badly.
