Part 2 of my question had to do with hidden menu items. I finally found the solution. Somewhere along the line I had selected BASICS for MENU DISPLAY not realizing that many of the "hidden" menu items would be selections I use fairly frequently. By the time I realized there was an extra impediment where there had been none, I'd forgotten what caused the change. So, now I know. You select WINDOWS> WORKSPACE> ESSENTIALS. The alternate selection WINDOWS> WORKSPACE> BASICS causes some menu items to be hidden which may be useful for some people. Just not me. Thank you all for your help. > >
