Not really. At least not this time. Now, I want to describe a problem with my MAMP setup on Lion and see if anyone has seen something similar.
Upgraded to Lion. Like it very much. Upgraded my custom install of Apache to httpd-2.4.1. Now, my windows box won't resolve "localhost" or "127.0.0.1." It's as though the "hosts" file is completely ignored. Now I don't like Lion so much. FWIW, I followed Richard Valk's install and configuration procedures at diymacserver.com. They worked like a charm for Apache 2.2.x. If I stop my custom Apache 2.4.1 install and start the pre-installed version instead (Apache 2.2.21), then my "hosts" file (common to both installations) works as expected. Can't find much on the web in the way of resolving the problem. Most threads end with "the problem went away after reinstalling Lion." That's not much fun the third or fourth time around, and the problem persists on my machine.
