Went to a Circuit City or something to look at the new Mac OS (8?). The clerk came up to me and said, "Macs suck". As the conversation continued, it turned out the Apple salesmen weren't even trying. The clerks had no idea HOW to sell the things. Anyway, I have read that one of the things on the current political table are professional organizations like car dealerships, hair dressers & such. Their standards & requirements are seen as obstacles to newbies & entrepreneurship. they were seen with great distrust & then Hoover championed them but now people are seeing them more like they did pre-Hoover.
