Weirdly, the über-repaired system when booted up inside the building, worked just fine. I've got the other broken system here now, and it's showing the same type of "fetching" error, but has other issues as well, mostly graphic display problems. I'm not sure if it's eligible for the 27" Radeon recall, we'll see.
