No, sir - I certainly am not ready to "be Craig". Nor would I want to
have to travel so extensively.  I rather like your second option;
unfortunately I am not monied enough to make it happen.

Yes, sir - I fully realize and appreciate that. I know you don't think
I do, but I honestly believe I do.

Is there *anything* I can do to make it easier - to help expedite it?
I'm not faulting you guys - really, I'm not. I am aware of the basis
this project is developed on, and I think it's phenomenal that there are
folks other than myself out there that enjoy what they do so much that
they find it "recreational". Being married myself ... well ... I think
I understand.

What do you mean by "posting alternative nightly builds"? I really
can't say I have enough (IMHO) to justify an alternate build. I have no
"significant" contribution to give right now, and I've made it clear I'm
holding off on "making sub-app inheritence happen" until I receive some
direction. I really would like to openly ponder what form it should
take before I start getting my hands dirty (though I will eventually be
forced to deal with their deficiencies to take full advantage of them).
While I'm not scared to get my hands dirty, I'm also not so arrogant as
to think the way I envision it working would, in fact, be the "best"
way. Could you please qualify your suggestion about the alternate
build? I love suggestions - especially if I understand them fully.

FYI: I should have the validator stuff fixed soon. I'm in the process
of making it 1.1 compliant. I've done the simpler pieces already
(code-complete, I believe - need to test), but I had some distractions
arise when I got to the util class, so I have kind of put that off. I
intended to get to it today, but ... what's that saying about "best
intentions"? I'll get that under wraps as soon as possible and get the
diffs posted. ... or are you saying I should make an alternate build
and submit that to bugzilla? I don't follow the picture you have of
what this alternate build consists of and where it lives.

Is there *anything* I can do - short of proving myself worthy of being a
commiter - to help expedite application of patches? If becoming a
commiter is what it takes, I'm all for it - tell me what I have to do.

Please let me say that I honestly hope I didn't offend any of you.
Presumptuous as I may sound, I don't mean to come off that way. I have
nothing less than the utmost respect for each of you. I really wasn't
trying to step on toes. :-/ and I feel like you took it that way. :-(
I suppose sometimes the best thing a person can do is keep their big
mouth shut ... ?
