Architecture is built through the use of design patterns. collection of appropriate 
patterns can lead to reusable business architecture.

A design pattern is also an architecture. MVC-2 or "Model 2" as you refer to
it extends the basic MVC architecture or design pattern. (Obviously you have
read the GoF a couple of times.) My question was, how does it do it, or does
it extend the pattern/architecture for that matter.

If you do not have a polite answer, please do not answer. We could all do
with a little less sarcasm.
