The default Subsurface language is US English (much as I'd rather UK or AU English, I'm not going to win that battle), and I'm pretty sure the accepted American spelling would be Buhlmann. I'm also happy with Bühlmann, being the correct spelling of the man's name, and an anglophone without knowledge of Germanic languages would almost certainly read ü as u. So Bühlmann keeps the purists happy, while not confusing the non-German speakers. But I don't really like Buehlmann. I understand that ue is a 'translation' for ü, but in the literature I have read on decompression theory, the name has been spelt Bühlmann or Buhlmann.
