Hi Dirk,
Just my 5 cents...

a) no one cares about Subsurface-mobile. No bug reports, no code, no
suggestions, nothing. So I guess we should call this a failed attempt and
abandon it - screw the 500 or so people who use it.
You oversee the obvious. It does what it should do.
Together with the cloud service, it is a nice carry around logbook.
And as long as I cannot read out my DC with my mobile, it is (sorry to
say that) not more than that.
PS: How did you get the number 500?
d) no one cares about the dive site mess that we have. The current version in
Subsurface 4.5.x is pretty much unusable and makes no bleeping sense. No
patches, some suggestions for improvement, no discussion, nothing.
People tend to arrange with unusable things (and even pay for it...).
In summary, this project is pretty much dead. I guess it does everything the
formerly active developers wanted? Or everyone has moved on to more fun things?
IMO subsurface has already more features that it needs. At least more
than I need. But TEC divers and photographers might see that different.
So what should we be working on...? Should we...
Hard to judge. IMO maintain and bugfix until someone has enough interest
to code more features.
For users, I actually see more problems outside of subsurface ... like
irda problems (on neither W10 nor ubuntu 16.4, I cannot read out my dive
computer anymore).
libdivecomputer related: readout to android mobile devices. (I know, I
know, close to impossible for most DCs)
Cheers,
Bjoern
