        An interesting point of focus for the Sundial in Art might also include 
Rosetti's Beata Beatrix (1863). Although Rosetti's image may include more foder 
for 
speculation than I'm willing to 'bother with' the dial itself is clearly an 
object of 
easy symbolic interpretation. Below is an interesting note about his wife, the 
inspiration for the piece as well as some late night digging! Also, a URL to an
