I think according to Swatch, a day equals to 1000 beats. I don't knowhow they
take care of issues like EOT, leap year, etc.

Since people have a tendency to associate time with tasks, I don't thinkthe
"Internet time" will stick because it does not relate directly to
"lunch time", "bed time", etc.
If we will ever adopt something more universal, I do believe "Universal Time"
will be the one to be accepted. My two cents.
