I first learned of the closing on March 14th from Jonathan Davidson via the
Clocks Mailing List.  Scans of newspaper clippings concerning the closure are
still at his site:

Details of the current  status on are the Time Museum's Web site:

I think that horological museums, including the Adler Planetarium, are now
well
aware of the closing.
