Hello Tom et al,

        I just today located and purchased a copy of the Instruction and
Maintenance Manual for the Abrams SC-1 Explorer Sun Compass. I have
placed a JPEG image file of the front cover on my ftp site at the URL
below.

        Also, I spoke directly with someone at Abrams Instruments and they
mentioned they were primarily a aviation company fulfilling government
contracts during the war. Perhaps then, as Tom mentions below, it was
intended primarily for use in an aviation context.
