Hi fellow Dialists, My local community is in the planning stages of revitalizing our local train station. I was thinking, why not include a sundial as part of the design for the passengers to look at while waiting for the train. I like vertical declining dials because they are some what vandal proof if high enough on the wall.
Are there any other sundials at train stations in the United States or Europe pictured in any sundial book that I could show the local committee? I was thinking of a dial that would give the time in different cities. Any thoughts on what other furniture to include on the dial that would reflect some aspect of the railroad industry? I want to at least give them the idea about including a sundial as a part of the over all design. Thanks in advance, Ken Clark Elizabethtown, PA
