Just to add to the list of possibilities Ken may like to know that there
is an interesting dial at a railway station in the SW of England in the
form of a statue of a railwayman losing leaves of a timetable in the wind.
The fallen leaves are the hour markers. The forearm and hand of the man
form the gnomon. Appropriately the motto (on a nearby plaque) reads:
"Tempus Fugit"..
