recommend a reference (preferably in English) on the subject?
I understand that John Flamsteed and Christiaan Huygens published tables of it in 1666 and 1662, respectively. If anyone has copies of these tables, the tables (or citations to them) would be greatly appreciated.
So far I have located G. Toomer's translation of Ptolemy's "Almagest," which has a section on it, as does Neugebauer's "History of Ancient Mathematical Astronomy".
