Hello all:

I often get emails from the general public who are not on our Sundial list
who are looking for a specific kind of sundial that I do not make. If I
don't know who supplies this type of sundial, then I would think it
appropriate to forward these requests to the Sundial List. This is not
someone advertising their sundials, but a request for sundials which is
different.

We already have good links to sundial makers and designers on both the BSS
and NASS websites. These sites have worked well for me in the past and
would surely work for others too. But I realize that these sites are mainly
for professional full time sundial makers most of whom have their own
websites, and that many members of our group are hobbiests who only make an
occasional sundial for sale. I have no objection to these people announcing
the sale of their sundials on the Sundial List. Let's face it, I doubt that
the List will be flooded with sundial advertisements since not that many
sundials are actually being built.
