But the port side is the left (when looking toward the front). Can you
confirm which side it should be?
I use this mnemonic to remember which is which. The words that are shorter
of each opposite-pair go together. Similarly, for the longer words.
So, we have:
Port Starboard
Left Right
Red Green
Another mnemonic...
(a) Port, the drink, is red, so they go together.
(b) Port and left each have 4 letters, so they go together.
Nifty, John, about being able to see the big telescopes on Kitt Peak and
Mt. Graham. Never thought to look. I'll have to try, the next time I'm up
in a plane.
