That's interesting.  I just printed out a polar Sundial from ShadowsPro and
it looked very similar to the horizontal sundial for my location.

I'll need to have a look at this when I next go there.  All these while I
thought that the Sundials over here were just garden ornaments and didn't
really work.

I'll also need to revisit the sundials at the Singapore Science Centre to
have a closer look to see if it really works.  They may have one or two
large ones over there in the gardens.  I recall that one of them is U shaped
with a rod in the centre.

I'll take note about the am/pm orientation.  I think I read in another msg
an equation to position the holes using tan.  So I'm off to find out about
the angle of the Sun.
