If it's in North America, you can use Google Maps.
 
 
Type in the location into the search box, using a format like "44.66660n 63.615153w". When the map comes up, zoom in or out until you see the town name.
 
There's a cool satellite view facility - look for the link in the top right of the screen.

In researching SGS, often I come across a sundial that has the latitude and longitude inscribed on it, but I don't know where that is.
 
Assuming I'm lazy and don't want to look it up in my Rand McNally, is there a website where you can type in the latitude and longitude and it will produce a map for you?
