Yes, this does work.  Google e-mail indicates the following for my address
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=7964+w+juniper+shadows+way+tucson+az&ll=32.376784,-111.136794&spn=0.004581,0.007263&t=k&hl=en

which would be:     32.376784   -111.136794
my gps indicates:   32.37684     -111.13494


So  the lat difference amounts to 6 meters and the lon difference amounts to 
174 meters (at my lat).

Looking at the Satelitte image, the arrow is about 200 meters too far west and 
50 meters too far south.
Looking at the Map view, the arrow is 20 m too far west and right on the 
latitude

Close enough for sundial work.
