Relative to the mail of Roger Bailey of the date 8-6-08 about sundials in
the Saint James Way (Camino de Santiago), I would like to say something:
The analematic constructed in the year 2007, close to Cruz de Ferro, (Iron
Cross) is one of the works of a group of coal mining industry of the region of
El Bierzo (NW of Spain), I m also form part of this group.
In the web site www.bierzosol.com there are two images of the sundial (see
Relojes monumentales/ La Cruz de ferro). Im talking about. In this sundial
there is a time ecuation graphic, draw clearly in order that it could be easy
to anyone know the time (official time) always from true solar time.
Nevertheless , is needed a little explanation for anyone can change solar
time to official time. We thought to write the explicative texts in English,
French , German and Spanish. The French text has been made by a well-know
dialist of our neighbour country: M. Joel Robic.
