Hi, I have a Sun Ray 150 that won't start up. The power LED is green but the smartcard reader LED stays on. According to the administrator's guide it is a card reader hardware problem, and the DTU should be replaced.
I'd rather try repairing the unit myself. Hopefully it is simply a matter of replacing the card reader part (it's quite easy to remove once you pry the back cover off). If I look around I could maybe find a Sun Ray with a broken screen or something to use for spare parts. Has anyone successfully repaired a Sun Ray like this? In particular, I'd like to know whether I would be wasting my time replacing the card reader.
