I really didn't want to get into a lenghty discussion about this. Its
interfering with time I would like to spend with my wife.
While I can see the value in going with Solaris on IBM, I can't see it
for Apple PPC when that is a dead end. Nor can I see the value in
porting it to PA-RISC, X-Box or Gameboys or any other esoteric piece of
hardware like some other open source operating systems. I think it is
counter productive. Not only is effort wasted in the porting itself, but
in the long term maintenance and code bloat.
After seeing that blastwave was asking for donations and help on the
same day that I became aware of the port to Apple PPC, I immediately
knew which project was more deserving of the effort.
