While I can see the value in going with Solaris on IBM, I can't see it
for Apple PPC when that is a dead end.
Well Apple just signed a deal with Freescale to supply PPC chips
through the end of 2008:

...so they have at least until then to rethink their "gee lets move
to slow, obsolete x86 processors" strategy. I'd not call it a "dead
end" quite yet.
