Yeah that seems to be the consesus.  It's really frustrating that Sun touts that USB devices are now supported on SunRay's but fail to elaborate that they only appear to work with Solaris as the server.  Even their documentation (man pages) suggest that USB will work but they reference a library (updated libusb) that can be downloaded via the Sun download center, but this file does not exist!!  Issues like this really make me believe that Sun really doesn't care about Liunx users, they only appear to do just enough to give an appearance that they support Linux, while seemingly giving better support/features to their own OS.
