Interesting, but how bad / good is it really.
What does "performance for a full desktop wasn't so good" really mean?
Is it better or worse than a Sun Blade 100 at 500 MHz, or a V210 1 Ghz,
or ....?
And how many rdesktop session can it really handle? Would 400 sessions
be possible?
And how does that compare to the Opteron machines?
It would be nice if Sun would provide some more information about what
to expect from their servers in a sunray environment when they launch
the systems. Maybe a Sunray benchmark is needed for this?
Or might sun focus on the niagara II to be the real sunray server?

Some informal internal testing that was done suggested that the T2000
boxes performed well when users were running only one application in a
CAM style set up - a Citrix client or rdesktop for example. Performance
for a full desktop wasn't so good, indicating that UIV or Opteron was a
better choice of server when offering a Solaris desktop.
Hopefully we'll have some more official news on this soon! I certainly
want to know as much as everyone else out there.
