Maybe you are  missing:

LC_CTYPE=de_DE.ISO8859-15

Some apps like Staroffice seems to work regardless,
but if an application uses the ctype(3c) subroutines to decide which
characters ar printable you need to set the correct locale.

Hello all,

I am running Solaris 10 01/06 on an Ultra 20. Attached are Sun Rays with german Sun keyboards. When I open any GNOME app like "Email and Calendar" or gedit, I get nothing when I press on one of the keys "ü", "ö", "ä',... Running a GNUstep app gives me no problem. What am I missing?

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

   Andreas
