I haven't seen one in use since I graduated University in the early

...which is disturbing, considering the fact that they're still
capable of doing the same work now as they were then. I regularly did
full-motion video on those with nary a hitch.
... and considering that there are tens of thousands of PCs in service
which act as little more than X-terminals.
The "business world" is really big on "upgrading for the sake of
upgrading", and companies like Dell and Microsoft are very happy to feed
this stupid habit...which is why I (at least) don't take any of those
three parties seriously.
