Upgrading the Firmware to currentFW=3.1_32,REV=2005.08.24.08.55 have resolved
the missing serial devices on $UTDEVROOT/dev/term
I have succesfully installed the serial printer via the print manager but the
issue know is the printer drivers !!!
Thanks to all that help to resolve this issue, I will post another for the new
one
Hope to See you on the new issue ;))

That's you problem. You need to upgrade the Firmware to have the
serial ports work.

/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utquery -d <IP of DTU> You can get the IP by
hitting
the 3 sound keys on the Sun Keyboard or by running
/opt/SUNWut/bin/utwho
-Hac and looking for your token/mac to find the IP.

What firmware are you running? If factory, the serial
ports will not
work. Please upgrade to the latest firmware.
Other than that (though that is most likely cause)
Is utseriald alive (there should a parent and a child)
Also, you might want to connect this to serial b on the
170 if this unit
expects any power from the serial port. (This isn't
causing your
problem but just posted for your information)
