Or that's it, i cant use my SunRays cause my applications run at 16bits ?

The 8-bit PseudoColor visual is available only on Solaris.  It
depends on an X server library that is not yet available for
Xorg, which is the basis for Xnewt.

No.  On Linux only a single 24-bit TrueColor visual is
available.
