Gday all. I have a conundrum. We have a v880 with 4 gig ram and 6 x 36 gig drives that is currently doing nothing more than bringing up 60 Sunray devices which immediately upon booting into icewm then have a script redirect them to a windows terminal server. (I know I know but politics dictates this).
Now, I think this is a waste of a good server and now the need has arisen for us to build a new server for internet / intranet apps. My question then is this; 1. Can I just get any bean box with a bit of ram to power up the Sunrays so that they can get their RDP session without? (Do I need a beast of a machine to accomplish this? 2. As I am more conversant with linux and less with Solaris, does open source apps such as moodle, joomla cooperate with Solaris as this is what I would be using (LAMP type setup) Kind Regards _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://node1.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
