In past months, I put in place many SunRay setups, and most of them was
requiring Windows desktop (both on WTS or on VMware WinXP desktops). In all
cases, there is always at least one or two users that require to have specific
USB peripherals that doesn't work with RDP.

The solution we found here to solve this problem is to put in place a small
Ethernet/USB hub. This is working quite very well. The Ethernet/USB hub is
called "Anywhere USB" and this is made by "Digi":

This is not cheap (around $200 USD), but, hey, what is $200 when implementing
a SunRay environment besides all the costs of maintaining PCs?? ;-)

On the WTS setups, we present it to the client as a perfect component for a
"service area" with hot-desking: put there the CD burner, the scanner, a
printer and so on, and when a user require to scan, burn, print or anything
else, he just have to move to the "service area" SunRay, insert his smart card
and his desktop follows. So the user can do what he needs to be done, and
leave after he's done.

On the WinXP/VMware setups, some powerusers has the chance to receive their
own "Anywhere USB" modules, besides their SunRay clients. Bingo!
