yes, i see a loginscreen but i cant login.
This is the regular Solaris login greeter, right? Not the Sun Ray Non-SmartCard Mobility greeter, which has a picture of some Sun Rays to the right of a boring grey dialogue box.
I try the local root/password but it dont work.
What exactly happened? By default 'root' is only allowed to log in on the system console so it's not surprising that this didn't work on a Sun Ray, but you should have been shown a message that says that 'root' is only allowed to log in on the console.
I try a testuser (su is possible) but the screen switches a short time black and then i see the loginmask again.
Did this happen even when you selected the 'Failsafe' session type from the login greeter's Options->Session_Type menu? Do any messages appear in /var/dt/Xerrors or in the user's ~/.dt/errorlog or ~/.dt/startlog files when the login failure happens? OttoM. __ Disclaimer: These are my opinions.
