Yes. A setup at work: in one half of an office, we have four tables placed together. At each table, we have one keyboard/mouse, two LCD monitors, and two SunRays (running multihead). Four workplaces grouped together. We have 16 thick 230V cables going to this isle. With SR2 units, we would also have 8 power-bricks somewhere under the tables. Then there's the 8 ethernet cables of course - pretty much unavoidable, but they're small and flexible - not a big deal. Now, with PoE, I could get by with only 8 thick 230V cables and 8 ethernet cables. You are right that I do not eliminate the need for power cables, but 8 cables is a lot more manageable than 16 cables and 8 power bricks. A lot easier to route/place nicely under a table. -- / jakob _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
