On Solaris, the "nosuid" mount option also prevents the creation of
device nodes.   Later versions of Solaris split the options, allowing
you to specify nosetuid and/or nodevices, but the old nosuid option
still maps to nosetuid + nodevices.   (See the mount man page for details.)
