Both my type 6 and type 7 keyboards have the swiss german layout. I wonder if anything has changed in the X11 configuration during the update. Is the SRSS software doing some customisation of the X11 config? Perhaps this could explain the problems: First I had U2 installed, then SRSS4 which might have done some config changes. After upgrading to U4 those changes have been overwritten by the plain-vanilla Solaris 10U4 configuration. Unfortunately I can't open a case with Sun as this setup is used on my home server and does not feature a service contract...
