There are configurations when running TX in which neither multicast nor broadcast packets can be used by the group manager to send or receive state about the FOG. These fixes allow for explicit specification of members of a failover group. The server software uses this list to send unicast heartbeat messages to servers on the list. Assuming that the Sun Rays are routable to remote hosts, you could use this to create a failover group out of Sun Rays that have no common subnets and no multicast routing between them.
